Post by bradiz13 on Fri Dec 12, 2008 12:48 pm

    Hello.

For an unknown reason I cannot climb stairs in my hack (In Origen town I couldn't climb my rivals houses stairs and I couldn't climb mine...)I uploaded a video on youtube the URL is http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=r5rsdmXNMpc

And the download link to the LIP of my hack is:

    2shared.com/file/4460235/93b5dfa0/Pokemon_-_Turquoise.html

If you have any questions I will do my best to answer them...and the hack is from Fire Red.

You need to set the stairs movement permissions to "1" making them impassable.
Also, is the warp on the stairs? Or is it in front of them?

It is at the start on the stairs. I'll see if I can find how to change it to 1..
    ~edit~
I done that and it still does not work.

This is a little confusing, so let me try to help.

The tiles square where the wrap is on is probably supposed to be a different one. The best way to fix this is to go to a place where there is a working stairs and right click the tile square where the wrap is and use that tile on this location.

This is because the tiles have information stored on the tile square (which could be editted), even if the tile looks like the same one, there is probably one that is supposed to go at the bottom of the stair. Chances are they look like a regular tile square.

How could I do it for you.

    Let me explain again:

    1) Go to a place where there is a working stair thing.

    2) Copy the movement permission, I think it should be all impassable.

    3) Right click the tile square right where the warp is located (it should look just like the regular tile squares, but it has different information in it).

    4) Use that tile on the original map you were trying to work on.

I found the mistake, I think I could just tell you, you have to put the little red mat that goes under the stairs there, without it, it won't let you go up the stairs.

That has the information for it to allow you to warp.

    Make sure:
The warp is on the mat
Make sure the movement permission is correct.

I'm going to sleep soon, so if you still can't do it, I will try to do it for you tomorrow after school.

So you understand the concept now? Good. The tile behavior and the other information is very crucial, so yeah.
