    This guide is to show you guys how the pros play. Keep in mind that these terms and the information here are always changing in the community. I don't think I can edit it here so ill also post this in my blog and ill edit it there.

    Clauses

    Clauses are basically, a way to stop someone abusing an aspect of battle.

    Evasion clause
    This means no Double Team or any items/moves that influence your evasion (An exception for snowcloak etc...)

    Item clause

    No duplicates of any items. EX: two leftovers

    Explosion/Destiny bond clause

    If its a 1v1 battle (One pokemon left aside) DONT explode / Destiny bond , it draws the match

    chance item clause or hax item clause

    No Quick Claw, BrightPowder, or Focus Band. (Possibly others)
    Basically ups the likely hood of *insert item description* happening (An exception to focus sash and a few others)

    Sleep clause

    Only one pokémon at a time on your opponents team may be asleep. (An exception for Natural Cure)

    Species clause

    No two pokemon of the same species on a team. EX: Two Weaviles

    Hack clause

    NO Hacked pokemon.

    OHKO clause

    No one hit kill moves. EX: Sheer Cold
    Uber Clause
    Don't use ubers. (Explanation some where below.)
    Tiers
    These are the classifications for certain pokemon. They are based on how strong the pokemon is.

    Ubers - Pokémon too powerful for OU. They are some of the strongest in the game.
