    UPDATE: This project along with my others is on hold due to school requirements, I may decide to continue them late November.

    Well, the title says it all.
    I plan on building a new Mario game, 'cause they're all to complicated these days, and we hardly see anything of the classics any more. So, on that basis, I decided to rebuild Super Mario Bros.



    Super Mario Bros Take 2 About10
    What is it: A new version of an old game.
    Who is it for: People who enjoy mario.
    What is it made with: Multimedia Fusion Developer 2
    Where is it up to: Extremely early stages of development.
    When will it be released: Release dates ruin everything.

    Demo 3 is released. Includes running and a partially working koopa. Needs work.
    Running works, but if you have any problems with it, let me know. I'll include a sound downloader next time, so you don't have to continuously download the sounds. Very Happy
    And you'll find you won't get the game over screen. Missed a command. Razz

    Right now the only programming I really know is Pokescripting.

    Nup. I knew nothing about it. A friend showed me it, and now I'm starting to get the hang of it. Very Happy

    im assuming you can make any platform game you want.
    and you can make tile based games like pokemon im pretty sure.
    i guess it's just anything but 3d games and hardcore stuff. Razz

    How should I explain it?
    Just think of 'you' as the person who could potentially be using the program.

    C++ is a massive pain, python is better Very Happy
    i haven't used fusion yet but i played a really good game called knytt stories.

    G.K.S platformers are really easy to make try gamemaker, they have a tutorial for making one
    fusion costs about $100 right?

    My dad is a C++ programmer, I could have asked him for help.

    Making games nowadays isnt too hard, you can find engines to help you make them.
